Here is how to determine bandwidth and maxrate for your Q3 Server by Zxel.

Slots X sv_maxRate = Bandwidth
so
12 X 8000 = 96Kb/sec (960 kbps)

Is 8 too many on a 768 SDSL line?

This depends on many factors, is that 768 upload or dload if it's your upload you will be able to host a bit more with out a prob, if it's not what is your upload? upload plays a key factor ...

First off your cfg is a mess and needs to be cleaned up a bit.

second add these master servers to your cfg for your server to report to

Trueform is splendid, I got the Radeon 8500 2 weeks ago and I must say nice, especially with Trueform :D . And Brent the best way to bench test RTCW is to join a nice server and frag for a spell or 2 :D

Give the game more ram this might help, find the shortcut to the single player game then r click and choose properties add this command to the line +set com_hunkmegs 128 the whole thuld look like this
"C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\WolfSP.exe" +set com_hunkmegs 128

The .script is located in the pak0. but if you mess with it the game will not run.

To adjust charge times add these to your server.cfg
seta g_medicChargeTime "?????"
seta g_LTChargeTime "???????"
seta g_engineerChargeTime "??????"
seta g_soldierChargeTime "?????????"

It's most likley going to be in the games options or config there should be some where in the game if you use a shortcut to launch the game it might be there in Quake you would put this in the command line of the short cut or the .cfg +set net_port 27960
