if u have sp2 on xp then u can run the following command & that will reset your ip stack as well:

"netsh winsock reset".

after the command has been executed, it will ask you to reboot. just reboot & your internet should be back on again.

k heres the issue.

i have a brand new installation of w2k pro & w2k serv. both were in workgroup & saw each other & shared files no problem.

then i installed AD & DNS on W2k serv. worked fine untill i tried to connect to the server from my w2k pro. heres what i have done so far

check if the internet is slow in the safe mode as well. since in hte safe mode only required services are ON.
