if u have sp2 on xp then u can run the following command & that will reset your ip stack as well:
"netsh winsock reset".
after the command has been executed, it will ask you to reboot. just reboot & your internet should be back on again.

k heres the issue.
i have a brand new installation of w2k pro & w2k serv. both were in workgroup & saw each other & shared files no problem.
