Sounds to me when the ip is sent to you from the ISP it pulls the first device hooked up to the hub. Since the ip can only be used once when you power up the pc it finds the hub and takes the ip. Look for the port forwarding section of the netgear admin page.

Select port 5100 for your cams and then forward it to the ip of the computer using the software.

To determine the correct ip goto the computer using the yahoo cam software and do an ipconfig. To find your ip in XP goto

Check out the admin section of the belkin Wireless router.
Look for an option to put the computer outside of the DMZ.

Gonna take a guess that its the firewall inside the router that may be slowing you down a bit.
Didnt think it would be that bad.

I run wireless b to the laptops and the wired blows away the wirelss all day long.

Dont want any movies either way.

Get rid of the hub and get yourself a router.
Many new brands out there

Linksys
Dlink
Netgear

They all work. Might want a 4 port wireless router so your laptop can work wirelessly and the router can be placed where the desktop is (assuming your cable modem is there too.)
