This Modem sure works great with your computer.... however try it with other IP video devices like tivo or roku, or VOIP... this thing has very limited capabilities.. however if you want the triple play and $170 per month then it works. Now my biggest problem is getting good customer service...

I find it hilarious to read comments from people who blame their lack of knowledge on this device! The device needs no external configuration because it is plug and play. Rarely do you need to do anything. I've used this modem for years. I have used DLink, Netgear, Cisco, 3Com and a few no name routers and all have performed flawlessly. There is NOTHING to configure folks. Anyone here who is having issues either has supplier problems or their router is not working/configured correctly.

This modem has worked flawlessly for eight years! What else needs to be said. Seems to handle streaming Netflix to the TV fine. Multiple users can cramp performance, but that is the exception rather than the rule.

For some reason, my Motorola SB5100e gives only half of the supposed speed. I have Win7. Anything I can do? It has to be in the drivers.
