SpaceX Starlink Internet has 150,000 daily users in Ukraine

Elon Musk's SpaceX is continuing to expand its Starlink satellite internet network in besieged Ukraine, with a government official saying about 150,000 people in the country use the service each day.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine's vice prime minister, tweeted that Starlink, a subsidiary of SpaceX, was providing "crucial support" for the country's infrastructure and "restoring the destroyed territories."

Musk said on March 27 that Starlink had been activated in Ukraine. At the time, Ukrainian government officials were calling for the delivery of more Starlink stations amid concerns that Russia's invasion could disrupt Ukraine's internet services.

Throughout the conflict, the terminals have not only helped Ukrainians stay connected to the world but also aided patients in hospitals to receive continued care. According to a recent NBC News report, more than 10,000 Starlink terminals are now operational in Ukraine. Out of these, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) procured 1,333 terminals, while 5,000 terminals were supplied by various stakeholders, the agency told CNBC.
