Netgear presents Wi-Fi devices at CES 2016

Networking manufacturer Netgear will present several products at CES 2016. Among them are the new Nighthawk X4S AC2600 Smart WiFi Router (R7800), Nighthawk X8 AC5300 Smart WiFi Router (R8500), Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router (C7000), High Speed Cable Modem (CM600), Nighthawk X4 AC2200 WiFi Range Extender (EX7300) and NETGEAR AC1900 WiFi Range Extender (EX6400).

R7800 is a 2016 CES Innovation Award winner. With dual-band WiFi and supporting Wave 2 WiFi features including quad-stream, MU-MIMO, and 160MHz bandwidth, Nighthawk X4S is suitable for 4K HD streaming and gaming. Its dual-core 1.7GHz processor provides 802.11ac WiFi speeds up to 2.53Gbps (800Mbps + 1733Mbps). It maximizes connection speeds for sending data to multiple mobile devices simultaneously, with 160MHz-capable mobile devices able to enjoy up to twice the throughput provided by other routers. It has an MSRP of $269.99.

R8500 is also a 2016 CES Innovation Award winner. It is powered by a 1.4GHz dual core processor for faster connections. It features patent-pending Active Antennas to boost range. R8500 also utilizes three WiFi bands with quad-streams, 1024 QAM, and MU-MIMO technology for faster WiFi speeds. It also supports more wired connections with six Gigabit Ethernet ports including two that can be aggregated for faster file transfers. R8500 is available at an MSRP of $399.99.

C7000 is powered by two processors: a 1.0GHz processor to provide optimal performance for wired, wireless and USB storage backup, and a dedicated 600MHz processor for running DOCSIS cable. Beamforming+ technology with implicit and explicit Beamforming support for 2.4 and 5GHz bands boosts WiFi speed, reliability and range for all new and legacy WiFi mobile devices. With 24x8 channel bonding modem technology, this router enables cable download speeds up to 960Mbps. The device is currently available at an MSRP starting at $279.99.

CM600 High Speed Cable Modem with a Gigabit Ethernet port uses DOCSIS 3.0-certified 24x8 channel bonding modem technology that supports cable download speeds up to 960Mbps. The CM600 supports IPv6 and is equipped with a7 Gigabit Ethernet LAN port. It is available now from major retailers in stores and online, at an MSRP of $129.99.

Netgear Nighthawk X4 AC2200 WiFi Range Extender (EX7300) is the industry's first AC2200 wall-plug range extender with MU-MIMO technology. It maximizes the range of your existing WiFi router up to 10,000 square feet so you can enjoy streaming and gaming throughout your home, simultaneously streaming HD data to multiple devices at lightning-fast speeds up to 2.2Gbps (450Mbps + 1733Mbps).
