Disney, which is in the home stretch of swinging the deal to become the full owner of Hulu, will launch a beta test of an app next month that combines Disney+ and Hulu into a single experience for subscribers of both services, CEO Bob Iger said.

"We remain on track to roll out a more unified one-app experience domestically, making extensive general entertainment content available to bundle subscribers via Disney+," Disney CEO Bob Iger said on the Mouse House's earnings call for the September quarter.

The beta rollout for bundle subscribers is aimed at letting parents set up controls around the more adult-oriented Hulu programming that will be available on Disney+, leading up to a full launch at the end of March. "We have opportunities with upsell capabilities and increasing engagement" with the one-app experience, Iger added, noting that bundling streaming products has reduced churn in the past.

The news comes a week after Disney announced that it would be buying Comcast's remaining stake in Hulu, spending roughly $8.5 billion. Since then, it's already starting signaling more collaboration between the two companies, revealing that upcoming MCU series Echo would drop on Hulu on the same day it debuts on Disney+.
