Market researcher ComScore announced yesterday that Google has set a record - it became the first company to ever hit a combined 1 billion unique users across its websites in a month. The unique visitors to the search giant have risen by 8.4 percent from 931 million a year ago. Most of the visitors came from India and South Africa, which is 14.3 percent and 13.5 percent of all Google users, respectively. Unchanged in its position from last year, Microsoft took the second place with 905 million visitors. Facebook took third place with 714 million visitors, followed by Yahoo with 689 million visitors. These figures are based on ComScore's global measurement panel of 2 million Internet users. The company calculates this with page view data that it receives from more than 90 web content publishers, though not from Google. Read more -here-
