Google extends Project Fi to everyone in US

Google has recently announced that its Project Fi MVNO service is already available to everyone, who lives in the USA. And who owns Google Nexus 6X, 5X or 6 smartphones. Previously, it was only made available through an invite-only basis during the first ten months of its testing.

"We're excited to be exiting our invitation-only mode and opening up Project Fi so that people across the U.S. can now sign up for the service without having to wait in line for an invite," said Simon Arscott, product manager of Project Fi, in a blog post on Monday.

The service's connectivity relies on a combination of T-Mobile's and Sprint's networks as well as available Wi-Fi, automatically switching between all three to give users reliable signal and fast data speeds.

For $20 users get unlimited talk and texting and $10 per gigabyte of data. Google only charges users for the exact amount of data used. For example, if you pay $30 for 3 GB and only use 1.4 GB, Google will give you $16 back.
