A new research has found that Android users are still being tracked by Facebook even if they do not have a Facebook account. This is possible through third-party apps users download from the Google Play Store. It turns out that 42.55% of free apps on the Play Store can share your data with Facebook, even without an account. Among those apps are Kayak, Yelp and Shazam, according a report presented by Privacy International on Saturday here at 35C3.

"Facebook routinely tracks users, non-users and logged-out users outside its platform through Facebook Business Tools," according to the report. "App developers share data with Facebook through the Facebook Software Development Kit (SDK)."

Data shared with Facebook varies by app. Kayak, for example, sends Facebook all search data conducted through its app, according to researchers. A King James Bible app shared the passage and verse viewed by the app user.

Meanwhile, as per a research conducted by a research company Toluna, Facebook has won the title of least trusted tech company in the world. Out of 1000 people surveyed, 40% said that they don't trust Facebook with their personal information.
