Cox Communications Considers Selling 3G Network

Cox Communications Inc., the third- largest U.S. cable-TV operator, intends to sell its wireless network to a large telecommunications company, president Pat Esser said. The president said that the company will either sell its network and spectrum to AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless or Sprint Nextel, or abandon the venture completely.

According to Esser, Cox is in talks with LightSquared Inc. to use that venture's network to further boost its wireless coverage. The company may also use its wireless spectrum for a future LTE network or work with another wireless provider as partners. Cox has no "near-term" plans to sell the spectrum.

There is a big area of Cox around here, they went up 50% on DVR services and a bunch of other increases for no more service or better yet they dropped channels according to peps I talked to so they made the local news and are being really dragged under the bus right now.
