ChatGPT for Android is now available

The ChatGPT for Android app is now available in the Google Play Store, launching a few months after the free iOS app brought the chatbot to iPhones and iPads.

The company teased an Android app when its iOS variant hit the App Store, though no one was sure how far off the Android version may be. Prior to today, a ChatGPT placeholder in the Play Store simply read "coming soon."

According to the team, ChatGPT on Android will be available in the US, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil. OpenAI plans to expand further over the next week, which means that the company is moving pretty fast to make the official app available.

With this new release, ChatGPT is now accessible on iPhones, iPads, and Android devices as well as on the website. The experience is similar across all those platforms, though the Android app sprinkles in a couple of bonus features just like the iOS flavor.
