Sporadic outages of BlackBerry messaging and email service spread to the U.S. and Canada on Wednesday, as problems stretched into the third day. The service disruption, which began in Europe and the Middle East on Monday, spread to India and Latin America on Tuesday. Some Canadian Twitter users on Wednesday were reporting service outages as well and users in the US were also reported to be experiencing problems. Research In Motion, BlackBerry's manufacturer, says a "core switch failure" caused the problems outside the Americas and that it's working on the problem
