AT&T to bundle postpaid tablet plans with wireless bills2011-03-04 09:35 by DanielaTags: AT&T, Wireless, tablet, iPad
AT&T Mobility will now offer postpaid plans for tablets that will be added on to a customer's existing wireless bill. Prior to this, AT&T's tablet plans had been prepaid on a month-to-month basis. AT&T said its new postpaid tablet plans will offer customers simplicity in billing. The new plans offer 250 MB of data for $15 and 2 GB of data for $25, with a $10 per GB overage. AT&T said that for a limited time, customers who activate a $25/2 GB plan will get the first month of service for free. Interestingly, the new postpaid tablet plans also are month-to-month and do not require a long-term contract. AT&T is keeping the prepaid plans, noting that prepaid charges will appear on customers' credit card statements. The new postpaid tablet plans likely will tighten the relationship between AT&T and its tablet customers. The new postpaid billing options will be available at AT&T retail locations, Best Buy, Fry's, select Nexcom locations and Wal-Mart stores nationwide, as well as online at AT&T's website. The launch of the plans coincides with the release of Apple's iPad 2, which goes on sale March 11. Read more -here-
