ASUS Launches DSL-N55U Gigabit ADSL Router

The new ASUS DSL-N55U provides dual-CPU design which offers the combined features of an ADSL modem and router, it supports concurrent 2.4GHz and 5GHz transmissions at up to 600Mbps. Carrying out both modem and router duties in wired and wireless modes, it enables access to 300Mbps per band, or a total of 600Mbps in bandwidth.

The 2.4GHz band can be utilized for web browsing, emailing, while the 5GHz band is available for more taxing applications like online multi-player gaming or HD multimedia streaming. Supporting up to 300,000 synchronous data sessions, its three antennas and the exclusive ASUS Ai Radar signal enhancement technology extends coverage and provides a more reliable signal.

With the standardized accessibility of USB, the DSL-N55U can transform instantly into a file, media, or printer server for even greater utility and multi-role value. It comes fully DLNA-compatible for seamless integration with a variety of devices, from game consoles to set top boxes. Powered USB also serves to recharge portable devices such as smartphones and tablets.
