A few of Apple's services are experiencing another outage, just one day after a good chunk of Apple's services and online infrastructure were knocked offline on Monday. Currently, Apple's system status page says that Apple Music, Podcasts, Books, and the App Store are the ones having issues since 5:09PM ET. It lists the issue as ongoing and says that "some users are affected."

On Monday, many of Apple's online services were knocked out for hours. As a result, product repairs, swaps, and item pickups were disrupted. The incident provides yet another illustration of the vulnerability of cloud-based services.

Apple told staff that the outage stemmed from domain name system, or DNS, problems. DNS failures occur when a server fails to connect to an internet protocol address, and are often caused by human error.

Around the same time as the Apple outage, various other tech giants saw rising customer complaints, though not to the same degree as that experienced by Apple. Meanwhile, Apple is heavily dependent on cloud services provided by AWS and Google. As a result, pending official confirmation, there is a possibility that all these service disruptions were interconnected.
