How to use multiple wireless Access Points in the same WLAN ?
When deploying a wireless network with multiple access points (APs), the preferred practice is to set them to the same SSID, same type of security and passphrase, however use different channels for overlapping WAPs to reduce interference.
It is also helpful to set each WAP to a different static IP so they can be administered separately, and set the DHCP server behind all WAPs. All WAPs should use the same type of security and shared key.
Setting all WAPs to the same SSID should also help when setting up roaming (having clients switch between access points automatically).
