Windows 2000 exhausts PTEs with multiple monitors?

Your multi-monitor Windows 2000 computer may exhaust the system page table entries (PTEs), which are required to map the frame buffer.

To resolve the issue, use Regedt32 to navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

Double-click the SystemPages value name in the right-hand pane and enter 36000 in the DWORD Editor, using the Decimal Radix.
