Using Regedit, navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet \Services\NdisWan\Parameters\Protocols\0
In the right, find a value named
"ProtocolMTU" and change it to the appropriate MTU for your connection.
Notes:
This might need to be changed even after AOL has been uninstalled.
The same value can be used for PPPoE MTU.See also:
