34. Windoes SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting ?

Windows 8 and newer include a "SmartScreen" filter that is designed to alert users before running unrecognized programs downloaded from the Internet.

When you try to run certain type of new/unrecognized programs or apps that are downloaded from the Internet, Windows checks with a central database and warns the user with the following message:

"Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized program from starting. Running this program might put your PC at risk"

When we update the TCPOptimizer, the above message may popup for a few days, until enough users verify it as safe. If you are sure that the downloaded program is safe (downloaded from our website directly, for example), you can continue by clicking: more info -> Run anyway button.
