Verizon's Google Pixel phone comes with bloatware

Last week Google announced its Pixel phones and said that verizon will be the "exclusive" carrier partner for selling the devices. These days it became clear that phones bought from Verizon will come preinstalled with bloatware.

These are three preloaded carrier apps (the My Verizon account manager; the Go90 video streaming service; and Verizon's custom texting app, Verizon Messages). According to the carrier, all of those apps are removable.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the software updates will be managed by Verizon.

"Monthly security updates will come from Google (for all models), and system updates will be managed by Verizon for Verizon models, and Google for unlocked models bought from Google Store," Google said.

For those users who do not want to stick to Verizon, there is still the option to purchase the phone unlocked directly from Google and use it on practically any carrier.
