Verizon Wireless has revealed that the company is having some major problems with their 4G service. The company has released an official statement about the problem, promising a fix as soon as possible.

"We are aware of an issue with 4G and LTE connections & our network engineers are working to resolve quickly," Verizon tweeted in its official support account.

Customers using the HTC Thunderbolt phone have been unable to use the 4G service for about 24 hours. Instead, they were forced to use a "1X" data connection - the slowest kind of connection available. Verizon's 4G MiFi devices and USB modems have also been affected by the outage.

Due to the outage the company will delay the release of its second 4G enabled smartphone, the Droid Charge, which was initially set for today.
