Verizon has announced that it is automatically adding 15GB of high-speed data to wireless plans during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Various Verizon plans will see the data allotment apply to their accounts in different ways. Unlimited customers will get additional LTE hotspot data, while prepaid or postpaid customers on a set data plan will simply receive an additional 15GB of cellular data.

In addition to existing customers, new customers will also be able to take advantage of this additional data from March 25 through April 30.

"We understand the hardships that many of our customers are facing, and we're doing our part to ensure they have broadband internet connectivity during this unprecedented time," said Verizon Consumer Group CEO Ronan Dunne. "With so many Americans working and learning remotely from home, having access to reliable and affordable internet is more important than ever before."
