Senator Richard Blumenthal, Democrat of Connecticut, sent a letter to Sony on Tuesday requesting explanation about the PlayStation Network security breach last month. The PlayStation Network has been taken offline, followed by the company's acknowledgement for a data breach. According to Sony, the problem concerned its Sony Online Entertainment servers, that stored information about 24.6 million customer accounts and 12,700 credit and debit card numbers. It is supposed that hackers were attempting to steal credit card numbers, however Sony claims it has no evidence that such data was stolen.
However, Sony has refused to testify to Congress over the PSN case so far. Read more -here-
