Lawmakers in California have been pressed recently to get cracking on a measure that would force some Internet retailers to start collecting sales taxes right away. Supporters of the bill are urging lawmakers to pass the measure before the legislative session ends this week.

Newegg is in Cali...if they start collecting sales tax from me I'll go to someone else most likely as the prices are still even with those other places cept no sales tax. Newegg should pick up shop and move to another state and teach Cali a lesson if they do.

Newegg is in a few states. The thing is, are they trying to make everyone pay Cali state tax plus the local state tax, or just enforce the local ones to the buyer?
