Apple is increasing service charges for battery replacement of out-of-warranty iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks starting March 2023. The price rise ranges from $20 to $50 for different kinds of devices.

Apple currently charges $69 for newer iPhone generations like iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11 and iPhone X. iPhone SE and iPhone 8 and earlier models are charged at $49. These prices will last until the end of February and will increase by $20 beginning March 1, 2023. The iPhone 14 line is not included in this price adjustment, as it already costs $99 for these models from the outset.

Those considering a fix to their Mac, meanwhile, may want to schedule a visit to the Genius Bar soon, considering battery service fees will soon rise by $30 for all MacBook Air models and $50 for MacBook and MacBook Pro.

The iPads are the trickiest, just because there's so many versions. The price increase is $20 across the lineup, but will apply to the following models, according to Apple's website: iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th generation and prior) - the current model is the 6th-gen, released in 2022; iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation and prior) - the current is the 4th-gen, released in 2022; iPad Pro 10.5-inch; iPad Pro 9.7-inch; All iPad minis; All iPad Airs.

You can get your iPhone's battery replaced by scheduling service at an Apple Store or authorized service provider, mailing your iPhone directly to Apple or scheduling an onsite repair.

If your iPhone's battery holds less than 80% of its original capacity and you have AppleCare Plus, you can get your battery replaced at no additional cost. Prices for AppleCare Plus range from $4 to $10 per month, or $79 to $199 every two years, depending on your iPhone model.
