Apple and Nokia have reached an agreement over patent dispute. This happens five months after they had sued each other over royalty payments.

In December, Nokia sued Apple claiming the company had breached 32 technology patents covering displays, user interfaces and video encoding.

According to the deal, Apple will be allowed to use Nokia's technology and will have to pay for it one-off payment, as well as future fees. Nokia will provide network infrastructure services to Apple, while Apple will resume selling Nokia health products, which were previously sold under the Withings brand. Apple pulled Withings products from its online and retail stores in December 2016.

"We are pleased with this resolution of our dispute and we look forward to expanding our business relationship with Nokia," said Jeff Williams, Apple's chief operating officer.

"This agreement will strengthen our collaboration," added Basil Alwan, president of Nokia's IP/Optical Networks business. "We look forward to supporting Apple."
